Attorney Advertising
This website is intended for advertising and general informational purposes only. Nothing on this site creates an attorney-client relationship, and no information here should be treated as legal advice for any individual situation. Prior results do not guarantee a similar outcome. Please contact us directly before sending any confidential information.
No Warranty; Limitation of Liability
Wordsmith Law does not guarantee that the information provided on this website is accurate, complete, or current, and disclaims responsibility for the content of any third-party websites linked from this site.
Non-Discrimination
Wordsmith Law practices equal opportunity in both employment and client services, without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, or any other characteristic protected by applicable law.
Communications & Text Messaging
If you communicate with us by phone or text, message and data rates may apply depending on your carrier. You may reply STOP at any time to opt out of text communications. We do not share your phone number or text data with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
Cookie & Privacy Policy
This section explains how Wordsmith Law's website uses cookies and similar technologies, and describes your privacy rights. It's written to meet the requirements of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP), India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act), the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA, and Virginia's Consumer Data Protection Act (VCDPA).
What We Collect & Why
Our hosting provider, Infomaniak, may collect anonymized visitor data (such as approximate location and browser type) for security and reliability purposes. We do not sell this information to any third party. Beyond that, this site uses the following categories of cookies and similar storage:
| Category | Purpose | Default |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly Necessary | Remembers your cookie preference on this device. Set by this site only. | Always on |
| Functional | Loads the LawDroid live chat widget (bot.lawdroid.com) so you can message our office from the site. | Off until you consent |
| Advertising & Analytics | Google Ads conversion tracking, governed by Google Consent Mode. No ad personalization or analytics storage occurs until you consent. | Off until you consent |
Your Choices
No non-essential cookie is set until you actively choose to allow it — this site is opt-in by default for every visitor, everywhere, not just where local law requires it. You can review or change your choice at any time using the button below, which reopens the same preference center you saw on your first visit.
Your Rights, by Region
European Economic Area, UK & Switzerland
Under the GDPR and the Swiss FADP, you have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal. Our legal basis for non-essential cookies is your consent; for strictly necessary storage, it is our legitimate interest in operating the site securely.
India
Under India's DPDP Act, 2023, you have the right to access information about how your personal data is processed, to seek correction and erasure, to nominate another person to exercise your rights in the event of death or incapacity, and to withdraw consent at any time — as easily as it was given.
California (CCPA/CPRA)
California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected, to request deletion or correction, to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, to limit use of sensitive personal information, and to be free from discrimination for exercising these rights. Wordsmith Law does not sell personal information. Declining the "Advertising & Analytics" category in Cookie Preferences opts you out of any cross-context behavioral advertising on this site.
Virginia (VCDPA)
Virginia residents have the right to confirm whether we process their personal data, to access, correct, and delete that data, to obtain a portable copy, and to opt out of processing for targeted advertising, the sale of personal data, or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
Global Privacy Control
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat that automatically as a request to decline non-essential cookies, without needing to show you the initial banner. You can still choose to opt in afterward through Cookie Preferences if you'd like.
Data Retention & Accountability
Your cookie consent choice is stored in your own browser (not on our servers), is versioned and timestamped, and expires after approximately six months, after which you'll be asked again. This lets you inspect or change your own choice at any time, but it is not a centralized, server-side consent log — this is a static website without a backend.
Children's Privacy
This website is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time; the "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will reset the cookie consent version, prompting a fresh choice.
Exercising Your Rights
